At Ensouled Therapy, I believe in a soul led psychotherapy approach; in sacred connection to nature, community, self, soul and spirit and that it is the disconnection from these realms that causes so much suffering in ourselves, communities and in the world.
My therapeutic approach is anchored in the hopeful idea that, as in nature, we all embody an innate drive to live in a wholeness of being. It recognises and honours all the way we learn to protect ourselves from wounding and in doing so, may prevent us from living more fully and vulnerably. Grounded in deep compassion, I guide you through the beautiful practice of coming to listen, know, witness and love all the parts of your being.
I believe that we don’t enter therapy to be fixed or improved. We enter therapy to learn to come home to our deeper truths, to learn to live a life ensouled.

I have a special interest in developmental trauma and the way it can limit our experience of living wholly in the world. I also have a focus on the many gates of grief and the difficulty of living in current cultural context and the way it prevents us from living with more depth and meaning.
To know me, you must know my soul.
I am a soulful, sensitive, curious and adventurous woman, dreamer, fledgling writer and poet, tree climber, star gazer, river sitter, mother animal lover and psychotherapist.

To know me, you must know my soul.
I am a soulful, sensitive, curious and adventurous woman, dreamer, fledgling writer and poet, tree climber, star gazer, river sitter, mother animal lover and psychotherapist.
My life’s work has been to come home to the truth of who I am, fully and wholly, and to help others to do the same. This is no mean feat in a world that is collapsing, and benefits from keeping us numb and disconnected.
I was always a sensitive, thoughtful, griefy child who learnt pretty quickly that these weren’t welcome qualities in the worlds I inhabited. I learnt to quietly tuck these qualities away and lean into the much more acceptable and entertaining funny and smart parts of myself.
The journey back home to the essence of me hasn’t always been easy but it has led me across the world, into the presence of the most exquisite souls and some of the world’s wisest teachers.
Always interested in people, but not quite sold on purely Western models of psychology, I finally found my path studying at Sofia University (previously the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology) in California, where I learnt to weave together Western psychological practices as well as Indigenous, earth-based, somatic, creative and transpersonal approaches to psychotherapy.
I am deeply influenced by the work and teachings of Carl Jung, Francis Weller, Matt Licata, Bill Plotkin, Martin Shaw, Clarissa Pinkola-Estes and Sharon Blackie. I am ever guided home by the poets; Mary Oliver, Andrea Gibson, David Whyte, John O’Donohue and more recently Jimmy Santiago Baca.

Soul based psychotherapy recognises and honours that we are more than our egoic self , more than the roles we play and the labels we are given. It is anchored in the belief that each of us has a unique gift to offer the world and that is longing to be expressed through your engagement with the world.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) recognises that we are multi-dimensional beings constellated by a unique system of parts. It recognises that sometimes parts become burdened, can play rigid, protective roles and hold extreme beliefs. It also supports us to connect to our true Self - the eternal essence at the heart of our being. In deepening this connection to Self, our parts can learn to trust us again, to relax and return to more supportive roles.
IFS is a deeply compassionate and supportive approach that ultimately supports us toward a wholeness in being.
Our modern, western culture is oriented to cognitive ways of knowing and is often divorced from deeper intuitions. Somatic psychotherapy honours the Mind-Body connection and is based in the understanding that many of the traumas. and ruptures we experience are stored in the tissues and cells of the body. When we learn to listen more deeply to the body, we can uncover subtle but powerful knowings, sense and release traumatic experiences and come into a fuller way of being.
Transpersonal Psychotherapy honours the many layers of our being including the Spiritual and Soulful realms of our experience. In session, this might mean we interweave guided visualisations, deep imagery, dream exploration or meditative practice.
In honour the fullness of our being, we might sometimes turn to clay, drawing, journalling, drumming or movement to express the inner experience. This therapeutic dimension can help to express things that words cannot and, at times, deepen into what is wanting to move through you.
Eco therapy acknowledges our wild nature - that we ARE nature. It teaches us that Mother Earth was always meant to be our primary, and most important attachment. That we are designed to be in loving, reciprocal relationship with her. And that in learning to listen to our wild bodies and souls, we learn that we are listening to the earth calling us home. Eco therapy honours the animate, living earth and the wisdom she mirrors in her living essence.
